Chocolate popcorn is a simple and tasty snack, perfect for watching a movie or for any gathering. Here’s a basic recipe for making this tasty treat:
Ingredients:
120 g popcorn
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (e.g. sunflower or coconut oil)
175 g white chocolate
10 ml MaxColor Strawberry Red Food Colouring
salt to taste
Preparation:
Making popcorn:
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Place one or two kernels of corn in the oil. When they pop, add the remaining corn. Cover the pan and let the corn pop, shaking the pan occasionally to prevent burning. When you hear just a few pops, remove the pot from the heat.
Melting chocolate:
Place the chocolate pieces in a heatproof bowl and melt them over steam. Add the MaxColor Strawberry Red Food Colouring and mix. Pour the melted chocolate over the freshly popped corn and mix thoroughly so that all the corn kernels are chocolatey. If you like, sprinkle a little salt on top to bring out the flavours.
