For lavender syrup:
1 cup of water
1 cup sugar
20 ml MaxAroma Lavender Aroma
10 ml MaxAroma Vanilla Aroma
For Latte:
1 cup of milk
1 serving of espresso
2-3 tablespoons lavender syrup (to taste)
5 drops MaxColor Raspberry Red Food Colouring
5 drops MaxColor Blue Food Colouring
Whipped cream for decoration
Lavender flowers for decoration
Preparation:
Lavender syrup:
In a small saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the MaxAroma Lavender flavouring andMaxAroma Vanilla flavouring. Allow to cool completely, then pour into a clean glass jar. The syrup will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Latte:
Prepare the espresso or black coffee and set aside.
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, but do not bring to the boil. If using vegetable milk, follow the same steps. Add the MaxColor Raspberry Red food colouring and MaxColor Blue food colouring to the heated milk and mix.
Whisk the milk with a whisk or milk frother until it is frothy and creamy. In a mug, stir together the hot coffee and lavender syrup.
Pour over the foamed milk and stir gently.
Decorate with whipped cream and sprinkle some lavender flowers on top.
